This page explains what personal data we collect on scalemarketing.ie, why we collect it, how it's used and shared, and the rights you have under GDPR and Irish data protection law.

Who we are

Scale Marketing & Strategy is a sole-trader business based in Dublin, Ireland, trading under the name Scale Marketing. The founder and data controller is Jennifer Chamberlaine. You can contact us at hello@scalemarketing.ie for any data-protection matter.

What we collect, and why

When you submit the contact form

We collect your first name, surname, company, email address, the nature of your enquiry, any details you choose to share in the message field, and your consent confirmation. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up on a possible engagement.

Lawful basis: your explicit consent, given via the checkbox on the form.

When you book a Growth Diagnostic via Calendly

We collect your name, email address, the date and time you select, and any details you add to the Calendly booking form. We use this only to schedule and run the call.

Lawful basis: performance of the steps requested by you before entering into a possible engagement.

When you visit the site

We collect standard analytics information about how the site is used:

• Pages visited, time on page, referral source
• Approximate location (country, city)
• Device, browser and operating system
• Account-level identification of visiting companies (where Apollo.io can reverse-resolve an IP address to a business)

We use this to understand which content is useful and how visitors find us. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics data.

Lawful basis: legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site, balanced against your reasonable expectations.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies for the purposes above. The cookie banner gives you the option to accept or decline. Strictly-necessary cookies (the ones required for the site to function) are set regardless of choice. Analytics and tracking cookies are set only after you accept.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted sub-processors to operate the site and the business:

• Netlify (United States) — site hosting and form delivery
• Google (United States) — Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, fonts
• Apollo.io (United States) — visitor company identification
• Calendly (United States) — meeting scheduling
• Mux (United States) — hosted video delivery
• LinkedIn (Ireland / United States) — where applicable, for inbound enquiries originating from LinkedIn

Each of these is a separate data controller or processor under its own privacy terms. International transfers to the United States are made under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share enquiry data with anyone outside Scale Marketing & Strategy.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry-related data (form submissions, Calendly bookings, email correspondence) is kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle and follow up on the enquiry, and for up to 24 months afterwards in case you come back to us. After that we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.

Analytics data is retained according to the default settings of the analytics provider, typically between 14 and 26 months.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have it rectified if it's inaccurate or incomplete
• Have it erased ("right to be forgotten") where applicable
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the lawful basis
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ireland (dataprotection.ie) if you believe your rights have been breached

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we introduce a new sub-processor or tool. Changes will be reflected here, with a new "last updated" date at the top of the page.
